Jennifer Shelton was born and raised in upstate New York. Her love of painting with acrylics began as a young child. She learned a lot from glancing over her artistic mother’s shoulders as the elder created her paintings. Because of Jennifer’s intense interest, sometimes her mother would produce an extra canvas for the young artist to experiment on and they would paint side by side.
Even when she married and moved to Ohio, Jennifer’s appreciation of art continued to grow. She graduated from Kent State with a BBA in Finance and followed that career path for a while. When she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007, her art became very important to her.
Many of Jennifer’s abstract pieces are mood based, bringing out a variety of human emotions with vibrant colors.
